April Dorey has more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry and is the principal and lead Wealth Manager of the Heart Wealth Management Group. She is focused on building and maintaining wealth for successful individuals and their families. She and her team guide their clients through significant life transitions such as retirement, the loss of a spouse, the birth of a child, a change in career or the sale of a business. She helps each client clarify their goals and understand how she can help keep them on a realistic and achievable track to get there.

April and her team also help clients navigate the complexities of cross-border investment management and other financial planning challenges. Her spectrum of financial planning experience enables her to serve a wide range of clients, including retirees, business owners, geologists, engineers, legal, medical and dental professionals, consultants, senior executives and others. April is passionate about learning, and she works to continually enhance her skills. Working on her MBA through the Jack Welch Management Institute at Strayer University, April has a Bachelor of Commerce (Entrepreneurial Expertise) from Royal Roads University. She has earned the Certified Financial Planning® Professional (CFP®) designation, the industry gold standard, and the Chartered Investment Manager (CIM®) credential. She is a Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI), the highest credential they offer.

April was honoured to be awarded the 2018 Woman of Distinction Award for Raymond James Ltd. This award recognizes women advisors who have served as a role model to other advisors in the industry.

As an advisor with Raymond James Ltd., April is licensed as a Registered Representative with the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada, and she advises clients who live in Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Ontario, Quebec and Nova Scotia. April is also an advisor with Raymond James (USA) Ltd., and she's registered as a General Securities Representative with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority and a Registered Investment Adviser Representative with the Securities and Exchange Commission in the United States.
